Seller Policy

This Seller Policy sets out the rules and responsibilities that apply to anyone listing items or services on HuLofton™. It supplements our Terms of Service and Marketplace Safety Policy.

1. What HuLofton does

HuLofton is a marketplace platform with on-platform checkout. Buyers can pay for listed items through Stripe Checkout; proceeds are routed to the seller's connected Stripe Express account and HuLofton retains a 5% marketplace fee on the item total. HuLofton also sells optional Featured Listing ($4.99 / 7 days) and Featured Service ($9.99 / 14 days) promotions. Service bookings are not paid through HuLofton checkout. 2. Seller Responsibility

Sellers are solely responsible for their listings, photos, descriptions, prices, inventory, packaging, shipping, taxes, communications, and transactions. Sellers must comply with all applicable laws, including consumer protection, tax, and product safety laws.

3. Accurate Listings

• Use your own clear, accurate photos of the actual item.
• Describe condition, defects, authenticity, and included accessories honestly.
• Set fair prices and accurate shipping or pickup expectations.
• Keep inventory and availability up to date.

4. Prohibited Listings

Counterfeit, stolen, illegal, hazardous, recalled, or restricted items are prohibited. See Prohibited Items & Services and our Marketplace Safety Policy.

5. Fees

HuLofton retains a 5% marketplace fee on the item total of completed checkout orders, deducted from the seller's proceeds at the time of payment. Payments run as Stripe Connect destination charges, so Stripe bills its own payment-processing and Connect-related fees to HuLofton's platform account rather than deducting them from you separately; your proceeds are the order total less the 5% marketplace fee (and less any refund, chargeback or Stripe-initiated adjustment on your connected account). If an approved refund is issued on your order, HuLofton reverses its marketplace fee in proportion to the refunded amount and returns that share to you; you are debited only the refunded amount less the returned fee. Stripe's own processing fees on the original payment are not returned by Stripe and are not recoverable. Optional Featured Listing and Featured Service promotions are charged separately. HuLofton will disclose any fee change in-app before it takes effect.

6. Stripe Express onboarding & payouts

Sellers must connect a Stripe Express account before they can receive checkout payments. Stripe collects identity, tax and banking information directly under its own agreements and controls payout timing, holds and reserves. HuLofton cannot override a Stripe payout decision and does not hold seller funds.

7. Fulfillment, returns and refunds

For checkout orders, sellers must mark fulfillment accurately (shipped with tracking, ready for pickup, or delivered), honor the Refund Policy return window, and respond to return, refund and dispute requests through the order page. HuLofton may issue a refund through Stripe where its policies apply.

8. Local pickup and off-platform payments

Sellers may still agree to local pickup or an off-platform payment (cash or a mutually agreed method). HuLofton does not process those payments, cannot issue or reverse them, and on-platform refund, return and dispute tools do not apply to them.

9. Buyer Communication

Communicate respectfully and respond to buyer questions within a reasonable time. Off-platform contact requests intended to defraud, harassment, or attempts to circumvent platform protections are prohibited.

10. Taxes

Sellers are responsible for determining, collecting, reporting, and remitting any taxes applicable to their sales. HuLofton does not currently operate Stripe Tax or marketplace-facilitator tax collection.

11. Account Enforcement

Violations of this Seller Policy or any other HuLofton policy may result in listing removal, restriction, or termination. HuLofton may also deactivate a Featured promotion and review the account. See our Marketplace Safety Policy.
