Payment Terms

HULOFTON™ is operated by Hulofton Robinson II, an individual California sole proprietor doing business as HULOFTON™.

What HULOFTON charges

  • Marketplace fee — 5% of the item total on completed marketplace checkout orders, deducted from the seller's proceeds at the time of payment. Buyers are not charged a separate HULOFTON fee. If a refund is approved, this fee is reversed in proportion to the refunded amount and returned to the seller.
  • Featured Listing — $4.99 USD, 7 consecutive 24-hour days from Stripe payment confirmation.
  • Featured Service — $9.99 USD, 14 consecutive 24-hour days from Stripe payment confirmation.

Marketplace payments run as Stripe Connect destination charges. Stripe bills its payment-processing and Connect-related fees to HULOFTON's platform account rather than deducting them from the seller as a separate line; those rates are set by Stripe and vary by account, payment method and agreement. Service bookings are not paid through HULOFTON checkout; service payments are arranged directly between the customer and the provider.

How marketplace checkout works

Marketplace purchases are paid through Stripe Checkout. HULOFTON uses Stripe Connect destination charges: the buyer's payment is routed to the seller's connected Stripe account, and the HULOFTON marketplace fee is retained from that payment. HULOFTON does not hold buyer funds in escrow and does not operate as a bank.

Stripe processing

All payments are processed by Stripe. Full card numbers and CVV never reach HULOFTON servers or database. HULOFTON stores only Stripe session / payment intent IDs, amount, currency, status, and card brand + last-four when useful.

Seller onboarding & payouts

Sellers must complete Stripe Express onboarding before they can receive checkout payments. Payout timing, holds, reserves and account verification are controlled by Stripe under its own agreements, not by HULOFTON. Stripe collects identity, tax and banking information directly; HULOFTON never receives complete identification documents or bank-login credentials.

Refunds, failed payments, chargebacks

  • Refunds on marketplace orders are issued through Stripe against the original payment. See Refund Policy.
  • Failed or cancelled payments do not create an order or activate a promotion.
  • Duplicate charges caught by Stripe idempotency are refunded once identified.
  • Card disputes (chargebacks) are decided by the card networks and the buyer's issuer. HULOFTON records the dispute, may request evidence from the seller, and may deactivate a promotion or review the account.

Taxes

Users set their own listing and service prices and are responsible for collecting and remitting all applicable taxes on their own sales. HULOFTON does not currently operate Stripe Tax or marketplace-facilitator tax collection, and does not calculate tax at checkout.
