Privacy Policy

HULOFTON™ is operated by Hulofton Robinson II, an individual California sole proprietor doing business as HULOFTON™ ("HULOFTON", "we", "us", "our"). This Privacy Policy explains what we collect, why, who we share it with, and how long we keep it. It applies to hulofton.com, our mobile and web apps, and every related service.

1. Information We Collect

  • Account: email, display name, avatar, password credential (hashed by our authentication provider), optional phone.
  • Listings & activity: listings, photos, titles, descriptions, prices, messages, saved items, reviews, reports.
  • Payments (featured promotions only, at this time): Stripe processes card details directly. HULOFTON stores only limited metadata such as Stripe session / payment intent IDs, amount, currency, status, and card brand + last-four when useful.
  • Location you provide: a city, ZIP code, neighborhood, or other location information you choose to enter for marketplace features.
  • Device / usage: IP address, user-agent, session activity, and error diagnostics used to secure and operate the service.

2. Location

HULOFTON does not currently request precise browser or device geolocation. Users may provide a city, ZIP code, neighborhood, or other location information for marketplace features. HULOFTON may introduce optional device-location features in the future after updating its disclosures and controls.

3. What We Deliberately Do Not Collect

HULOFTON generally does not receive or store complete Social Security numbers, complete government-identification documents, or bank-login credentials. Stripe or another payment or verification provider may collect identity, tax, banking, or government-identification information directly when required for seller onboarding, payouts, fraud prevention, or legal compliance. Those providers process information under their own privacy notices.

HULOFTON also does not store full card numbers or CVVs.

4. Purposes

  • Operate, secure and improve the Platform.
  • Process featured-placement purchases and related support.
  • Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and marketplace-safety risks.
  • Send transactional messages (receipts, security alerts, policy updates).
  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce our policies.

5. Recipients

  • Stripe — payment processing for featured-placement purchases and future features.
  • Managed cloud hosting & database — application infrastructure.
  • Authentication providers — Google (and email/password) for sign-in.
  • Email & notification providers — transactional and account emails.
  • AI providers — routed through our AI gateway to generate suggestions, summaries, and moderation signals. AI providers process the specific prompt for the specific request; HULOFTON does not sell user data to AI providers.
  • Law enforcement & legal process — where required by valid legal process; see Law Enforcement Requests.
  • Successors — in the event of merger, acquisition, or asset sale.

6. Cookies & Similar Technologies

See Cookie Policy. HULOFTON does not currently include third-party behavioral-advertising SDKs or third-party analytics tags in its production client.

7. Retention

We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Policy, including providing the Platform, maintaining security, preventing fraud, resolving disputes, meeting accounting obligations, and complying with law. Retention periods vary by data type and operational need.

One specific automated retention job is currently in production: unsubmitted listing and service drafts are purged approximately 90 days after they are last edited. Other data does not currently have a fixed public deletion deadline.

8. Security

See Security for the technical controls HULOFTON has implemented. No system is completely secure and HULOFTON does not claim otherwise.

9. Your Choices

  • Edit your profile in your account.
  • Request access, correction, deletion, or an export via Privacy Choices.
  • Request account deletion at /delete-account. Submitting the form creates a deletion request; the account is not automatically deleted at submission.

10. California Privacy Rights

California residents have additional rights under the CCPA/CPRA, including the Right to Know, Access, Delete, Correct, Opt Out of Sale or Sharing (HULOFTON does not currently sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising), and Limit Use of Sensitive Personal Information. 11. Children

HULOFTON is not directed to children under 18 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we learn we have, we will delete it.

12. International Users

HULOFTON is operated in the United States. If you use the Platform from outside the U.S., your information will be transferred to and processed in the U.S.

13. Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted here with an updated date.
